Well what can I say? Just a massive thanks to all the loopers I met over the 2007 season at the ring !
I have just completed my 26th and Final "commercial tour" of 2007.

The weekend weather was "Fan bloody tastic" my customers as usual had a great time.

Thanks for all the Coffee's that some kind loopers have brought me :thumb:
And thanks to some of you for your business ;)

What I found fantastic was some of the newbies from NL actually asked for some advice from me
Made me feel like a bit of a "legend" lol

Anyway we took the skyline over for a maiden run, just to see what the costings would be like
It did however make it there and back, and did 1 lap to my sheer amazment :D
which leads me on to my story of the weekend

We headed home from the final weekend yesterday! my customers decided to make a dash for an early train , so we said fairwell at Spa and headed our seperate ways! The passat and the Skyline went into "cruise" mode and headed down the Brussels route for a change!
The sun was out and not a cloud could be seen!

I was just recaling some of the trips in my mind when I spotted a blue Skyline parked on the hard shoulder with hazzards on.
I slowed but could not see anyone in the car and so crawled up the slow lane for a few miles until I spotted two peeps walking

I pulled over and asked what the problem was, to which they replied that the gearbox had blown and they had forgot to get breakdown cover and were therefore in the shit !
No worries I said , jump in and we looped round and took the car in "tow" behind the passat :thumb:

WOW.. how heavy are skylines !

Anyway I explaind that what we were doing is megga ilegal on the motorway over there, but my cunning plan of sitting our skyline behind theirs and me townig at 60mph in the slow lane should give us a slight chance

    Not for too long

Mr Plod arrives in a plain black peugeot and escorts us to the services
A good ticking off :nono: and A few apologies later :shame: and the fact that I explained I was only helping this couple as a passing motorist as they had broken down in a dangerous position.. I also explained we could not leave it on the services and needed to get it into a secure place, the two coppers were fantastic and escorted us out of the services down a dirt track into a to village, and then they went
I dragged the skyline aaround and found a lady in a garden who I asked nicely if we could leave it in her drive for a few days and we gave her some euros locked the car up and went on our way

On the journey back to dunkirk the cpl told me that they were with friends in other skylines who had tried to help but unfortunately had to make their train so they carried on without them ! I phoned ahead and booked them in as passengers with me and dropped them off in Dover !
    A good deed done :thumb:

I said  and headed off into the sunset :D well the pissing down rain :D and that was that ;)

So, Good luck one and all for the winter season, maddog I will see you next Friday !

I'm now packing for my Holiday with her indoors

We head off for a tour of France , Monaco, Italy, switzerland, Austria, Etc, on Friday, and I'm looking forward to a well earned break :D

    Laters mav :veryhappy:

Nice story, glad you had a good season, Mav, and it was nice not to meet you
Here lies the body of Mary Lee, died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity, not a bad record for this vicinity.

Skylines are heavy Halleluyah, final found a reason why they lap the ring in 15 minutes, I was wondering what the problem was

Sorry I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you mav, and the handshake that would no doubt be applied by those popeye forearms of yours, next year hopefully, have a good vacation, Lucky ****

    Have a good tour buddy!

Glad you made it through the year Mav :thumb:

I`ve said it before, but i`ll say it again, your help when I had my crash at Easter was superb, you offered to spend time helping me when you`d only met me for 10 minutes before. If you look after your customers as well as you did a relative stranger, i`m not suprised they come back for more :thumb:
