VLN dont need to buy tickets unless you want to go in the pit area on the weekend. If your there on friday you can walk in the pits / pit lane for free so save your money IMO as i have never paid yet.

    Friday - Pits
    Saturday - elsewhere on track
    Daily - i30N Performance
Project - Astra Mk3 with Saab B204 engine (sitting in the garage)
Track - Suzuki Swift ZC32 Ex Rent 4 Ring

Worth paying the ticket once if you want to get on grid for start and you can usually watch from the roof of the pits which is good for the start.

Then walk round to t13 and walk with the track and walk a full lap , see it from all corners. You have to do a little trek to get from inside at Aremburg to metzgefeld, full lap should take circa 4 hours with stops but best way to see it

I walked a full lap against the traffic while watching n24 a few years back. It took me a lot longer than 4 hours but we had a few naps along the way.

I think I may make a decision on the day based on wether.

Against the traffic is the way forward. Or is it backward? :-)

Keep meaning to get across for a VLN rather than N24, hasn't happened yet.

Walking the circuit has it's merits, as does taking a camp chair and finding somewhere to sit and watch for a few hours. Ideally within an area of good phone signal so you can keep up with the race via YouTube or whatever.

Grid walk is a unique experience so definitely pay the small amount of money for a ticket to do that.

We once walked from Nurburg to Adenau - with the flow of traffic. Just need to do the next half. We did plan to do it the following year or so. Alas that was around twelve years ago now.
