Question Insurance renewal help - LV

Jude's car insurance is up for renewal.

Current provider is Privilege who want 713.

Quick online comparison gets me a 445 quote with 'Liverpool Victoria'.

    Anyone used them on here?

Thoughts, comments etc on them welcome before I pull the trigger on switching

ps. continuing the debate from Gary's M2 thread, NCD protection, worth it or not?

They seem OK as any as far as I've heard. I've used them before but not in a claim. You'll know they're only as good during a claim situation and there are horror stories with most we know. I thought the comparison web sites have ratings and reviews too?

Yeah they're a well known ins. co.. May even beat that comparison quote if you phone them directly.

Seems a huge amount of money though, what are you trying to insure!?

Agreed, hence the question as I've not used them before.
Hoping never to have to claim but shit happens then you find out how big a ballache insurance companies can be!
They rate highly on defacto and Trustpilot

I always go NCD protection (I understand what it means). I also want legal and tend to get breakdown too.

    Couldn't want for better reviews

Given they're half the price, they can't be spending much on hooky reviews

LV are very reputable. They used to include trackdays in their classic cover, they might still do.

I was insured via LV for years but via a broker Chris Knott. Never had a issue, its only the last year that Chris Knott didn't use them for me it seems not sure why I just pay them as no ones ever beaten them on price for me in 10 years.

Used them on various vehicles over the years, never had an issue, but never had a claim.

They were one of the last to put a 'ring clause in their documentation.

Thanks all, going to give them a go for a year

Did it through Meerkat so got the 2for1 meals /cinema tickets deal.
Not sure if it's a real value but nice idea.

    I'm with lv.

Haven't had to claim, so can't add anything else.

They sent the green card for the car and trailer next day if that helps.

Couldn't be any worse than Direct Line. Despite their adverts with Winston De-Wolf they're absolutely pony!

I'm with Markerstudy through two different brokers on the 120d and Boxtser. Have had no issues at all with my claims (1x RTI and 1x new screen).

    This^^^^^^

Also, I have been insured with the "Highway" division of LV for several years through Keith Michaels insurance - never claimed myself but speaking to KM they say they have never had any issues.
