August Trackday - who fancies it?

So, after Nige threw out the invite to the drown-fest which was Bedford Aquadrome, it seems only fair I invite you all to a trackday with dry conditions guaranteed*

Not a big surprise, but I've picked dates when I'm back in the UK and I've not picked Cadwell park to squeeze the Dodge round (since you'll have to go on the grass to pass me)

So here's the options I've come up with - if anyone fancies any of the below then let me know
    12th August (Monday) - Castle Combe - Full Day - 155
    13th August (Tuesday) - Donington National - Evening - 109
    14th August (Wednesday) - Castle Combe - Full Day - 170
    15th August (Thursday) - Donington National - Evening - 139
    16th August (Friday) - Mallory Park - Full Day - 149

    19th August (Monday) - Anglesey Coastal & GP Circuit - 189
    19th August (Monday) - Castle Combe - Full Day - 189
    20th August (Tuesday) - Donington Park - Evening - 150

    anyone fancy it?

Great suggestion. Sadly you`ll have to count me out, we`re away all August.

Going away on holiday should be saved for when the weather in the UK sucks

For the remaining 1 month of the year you should stay

Lou works in school, so we are stuck.

Once she retires, we will most certainly be doing exactly as you suggest

8 weeks on, 2 weeks home - I'm back in UK in August so July and September are completely out I'm afraid :(

If the rest of you could just re-arrange all your plans to fit around my work rotation, that would be fine?

On a related topic castle coombe's 'own' days are now all OPL rather than the previous 15min sessions .
Simon no longer owes me anything, Dave does though.
Floyd probably owes me at least twenty with the interest rolling up...

Nope! Fell for that last time there. Simply the worst track day I’ve ever been on. Booked as OPL, actually sessions as they oversubscribed it and driving standards on the sighting laps were so poor.

Interesting news about Castle Combe - I've only driven it once (giving pax laps on behalf of Mission Motorsport, in the Mazda) and I know the "Action Days" have always been a hilarious* crash fest

I'm fairly undecided which of the above appeal - I've driven Combe and Donington, so I have to say I'm really tempted by Anglesey because it looks like a really stunning track and I reckon it will be great fun

    (*Not always hilarious)

    Anglesey is brilliant

Keeping an eye on this, keen to do one in August. My preference would be 19th at Anglesey.

I had a manning return I was supposed to be filling out, so instead I've just booked Anglesey

So if you decide to do that one, then I'll be there too!

I'm also up for either a Donny evening or possible a Combe day if anyone fancies one of those too?

I was all about to pull the trigger on the Aug 19th but there was something nagging about that date.

    Balls. It's my daughter's birthday.

We thought about this - https://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/t...th_August_2019

But I'd prefer Combe as it costs less husband points :D.

What could she possibly want more than a day out with her dad as ballast in the Caterham?

It really upsets me to see Donny are still applying "F1 Circuit" pricing to track days... I remember when the place was a real bargain

    Booked - https://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/t...th_August_2019

It's slightly painful paying that much. Seems the going rate for summer track days. 289 with Si as well. This year has been a bit all over the place, hoping we can do more with the Clio over the winter/early months of 2020 and get it read for some 'Ring laps then too. Given this is the first trackday of 2019 in the Clio, I've just sucked it up.
