Cameras on/in your car at the Ring

Am I right in saying that video / photo cameras are technically not allowed on ones car on TF days? Yet obviously we see dozens of pics and videos.

Hypothetically speaking, if one was to hypothetically fit a hypothetical GoPro in place of one's Mk2 Gti front Fog lamps, how likely are the TF Nordschleife staff to pick up on it?

Asking for a friend / speaking hypothetically

Too hard to police I expect?

Is there anything else not immediately obvious that's verboten, like say wraparound bucket seats?

    Bonnet pins.

Not legal apparently although they are fine with them taped over though

Just make sure you use colour matched tape so it doesn't ruin your precious holiday snaps

Kev's the only Northlooper who goes when it's not a DN day...so he'll be the only one annoyed....it'll be on the 'what's annoyed you...' thread soon.

That they aren`t going to fall off ?

If it`s the same as the UK where they don`t allow sucker mounts without a secondary tether, about time ! That`s a good thing

From what I gather they are checking anything and everything. Spoilers, Bonnet catches, splitters & wheel studs from a few mentioned. The marshals where warning people this weekend for future reference.

They've been doing that for years, usually get bored by Car Frietag as it gets too busy.

I've had my cars inspected a few times.

Always the usual 'we're checking everything' then as you say, by Easter it slips.

They made me remove my bumper mounted "gopro" type camera on Saturday.

Yeah... Cos that's so much safer than bolted to the car.

Especially when it's on a wanky looking suction cup.

Was a couple of years ago but I was asked to remove my 24/7 screen mounted dashcam at the barriers before. Wasn't even in my view (behind mirror) and mounted properly using a stuck on mount to the glass.
