I normally stay at Hotel An Der Nordschleife but it is either full or not accepting bookings for May 20th weekend.

Any recommendations for other places to stay where we can easily park 2 cars with trailers? I haven't ever stayed anywhere else so never looked for reviews!

Ohans has just released dates for 2019, so you will be able to book for DN21 now, if you're quick

Worth bearing in mind that the Truck Grand Prix is immediately before the RM2019 event, so I think that is why he is completely booked out for the relevant July dates

Still rooms available for DN22 at HadN, but they are going quickly

Current weather forecast (which will undoubtedly change) is far from ideal - T-Storms and 90% Rain

But I am so happy to have a working car at last that I'm going to do everything I can to enjoy the journey, and perhaps hitch a PAX ride or two

Kev, if it rains, don`t just sit in the carpark, get out on track and keep lapping. It`s amazing how much you can learn about the car

Obviously, a dry day is preferred but make the most of it regardless of the weather !

    Oh we will Nige

Having looked at six different weather sites it likely to be the odd shower rather than torrential from start to finish, but as there is bugger all we can do to control it, Iíll try not to worry about it!

In the nine years we've been doing this we've never had a full wet day

I'm not looking at forecasts until I get there Saturday night but as I'm always the optimist - if it's wet then I'm looking forward to the photos. So few opportunities over the years to get rain shots.

I'm just off into the garage now to fit new discs and pads to the front of the 996 in readiness

So we could only drive half the day as it pissed it down. So we get half off, no ? :D :D

dunno why people bother. It started to rain heavy so we called it quits and just bimbled through our last lap....to find a busted up yellow corvette or something on youtube corner. Thats that guys day ruined.

That's the luck of the draw. Rain on the second day, in the afternoon last time I was there. The morning was dogged with stoppages and twattages, like a lot of the first day. I'm just not comfortable with pushing hard in the rain, especially if it's just damp!
