This is making me feel like like I want to go and rock myself back and forth into a calmer state.
    I can't compute it.
How can anything be that quick?
How can anyone be skilful and stupid enough to drive it?
    to the hedge, and beyond.

I would be praying the whole time that the aero grip holds!!!!

Otherwise the car would be in the barriers in a split second.

Kerbs would f-ck that grip up.

Now I'd like to see a bike have a proper go around there. It would make a good TV show for Guy Martin.
If the whole world was filled with just animals and David Attenborough, it would be a beautiful place. Unfortunately, it's been overrun by 7.6-billion assholes.

Guy could get the backing and sell the show, but we all know who's fastest around the 'Ring on two wheels.
I think the best hope would be a partnership with BMW, who have the money, the bike, and, most importantly, the influence to make it happen.
    Oor Andy + S1000 + support + adequate practice time = sub 7.
    Full lap.
    Another year, another BMW...

Sadly I suspect BMW would look for either “homegrown” talent or a known racer than doing the right thing and having Andy go sub 7minutes (Which I am certain he would do, easily)
If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him...is he still wrong ?

In his last book, GM says that he had support from Triumph motorcycles, Metzeler tyres, North One Television, and the 'Ring to attempt a record in 2015. He says they got a long way organising things when 'the folk at the Nurburgring shit themsleves'. They allegedly told the tyre company 'We don't want any motorbike records breaking around here. The track's not designed for motorbikes'. So that was that.

He goes on to say that he still wants to go back and attempt to beat Andy's unofficial TF record on his own bike one day.
