Thread: Building a Drift Car – Peden Nielsen.

Building a Drift Car – Peden Nielsen.

Sometime late last year, I was contacted by Sparrow on here. His company DTAFast was keen to break more into both the Drift and the Irish market. Sparrow asked me if I could suggest any Irish Drifter who might be interested in a sponsorship deal with them.

After due consideration, I suggested Peden Nielsen. Danish-born but Cork bred, he’s a Pro-Drifter in the Irish Championship. Despite running a little over 330bhp in his last year’s 180sx Drift-car (less than 1/2 of the power of some of his opponents), he often topped Qualifying and he finished 6th o/a in the 2017 Irish (Pro.) Drift Championship. Also, he’s a buddy of mine, a hell of a nice fella and quite a character!

Negotiations were conducted and a deal was struck, which pleased me greatly! I thought the partnership between DTAFast & Peden would be an excellent fit, and I think that has proven to be the case. Sparrow has been of great support to him, and Peden is absolutely delighted and impressed with their components!!

Anyway, Peden is currently mid-build of his new Drift-car for the 2018 I.D.C. season. It’s another 180sx, but he has named it the ‘249sx’ (as that is his race-number), and it’s gonna be a pretty radical build! He is chronicling the progress in a series of videos on his new Youtube channel (Peden249). They are both interesting and entertaining, and are worth following...

Here's another video made by Peden.
Done at the round of I.D.C. 2017 which is most local to me.
It cracks me up every time I see it... Well worth a watch.

No bother. As I said above, it seemed like the right fit.
Btw, the next time you send any stuff over to Peden,
would you chuck a DTAFast hoodie in the box for me (size M)??

    My pleasure Simon.
I just thought some folk on here would be interested to see what he's at...

I haven't seen his new 249sx build yet (as it's in Stone Motorsport in Kildare, around 2hrs away from me), but I know he's doing some radical developments with it, in his own inimitable way...

Furthermore, I simply must check out Stone Motorsport sometime soon,
it looks like an immense facility (and I just love their Waiting-Area )! -
