Ian, Tony. We will sort out the beer and food nearer the time

Steve, thought you'd be driving there and back in the day, it's only an hour away

We'd still have stayed in the travelodge even if we knew you were staying over though

    Looking forward to this!

The way things are shaping up it may well be the cars first shake down sadly!

I had hoped to have it out much sooner, but things are just against me at the moment it seems!

May even have the wheels I ordered in January before Thruxton with any luck!

Only 4 paces left, don`t leave it too long.

Will you be OK on noise ? it`s 90db Static. I`m fitting an extra silencer under the rear bumper, just to be safe. I know Prawn is doing the same.

Just had confirmation that they would like it so I’m afraid not vws, sorry.
In light of the above, how many of those Northloopers who are going would be willing to take the MM beneficiaries out for laps?

Normally I`d jump at the chance but I`m bringing 2 people with me as it is and sharing the driving so I doubt I`ll have opportunity to take many out. If I can I will, but I can`t promise anything this time.

I'm out unfortunately. I used up the last of my brownie points by breaking down on the dyno due to a failed alternator and getting home MEGA late.

    Have fun!

Happy to take people once I have my eye in, assuming I fit the towbar on the van and get the boxster from Gareth...
New car is far too new to tow.

Passenger seat in my Caterham will be available for loading ballast. My mate's Caterham might be a more entertaining bet around Thruxton though, as it has another 80bhp over mine.

    Happy to help as always

... but not sure it will be much fun as I don't know the track and don't have many horses for a fast flowing track, particularly two up

Excuses! You'll only brake twice a lap in yours, rest is flat.

    Unhappy

With much regret, I am going to have to sell my place on for this now

I'll offer it here first as I'd rather a Northlooper gets it, but if no takers shortly I'll open it up on the FB pages etc.

I only want the face value of the day back please - £139

I'll stick a for sale thread up later if needed.

Either pm me or contact me via FB/mobile if you have it

I also have a PremInn room for the Sunday night if interested - £30 room only

Dragged my m3 out for a look-see today. Hasn't been driven since Thruxton last june. Reconnected the battery and it still had enough charge to start the engine! Washed off about a quarter inch of dust and gave it a look over. Needed a bulb in the nearside front indicator. Otherwise good to go!

I’ve got the mx5 back from G and I’m very much looking forward to this.

Gave it a wash, wax, sealant and a vacuum and it’s looking good. Oh I put some wheel sealant on too. Not sure how long they will stay white for!

SIGNIFICANTLY better turn in from the new tyres and wheels I was trying meant the usual amount of steering input caused the car to turn more than expected, so instead of just missing the floppies, I hit them

By the end of the day I`d understood the differences, but by then the damage was done.
