Thread: McLaren top trumps

    McLaren top trumps

Delivered a 12c today, they always have nice metal there, but got a bit top trumped on delivery, no not 720s or even a p1

No I mean properly Mc top trumped!

Not just one, but two Big Mac daddies

    Yummy.

The 12c had to go & hide inside in shame! ;)

All the toys come out to play, for Goodwood on a Summer's day. A wet and muddy Summer's day, but still...

Floyd, too big? Pah guess you've not met Gordon Murray then, he's really tall, taller than me I reckon.

They were out doing videos for Kidstons, the black one arrived with us this morning for a freshen up!

I am a little over 6ft and 17.5 stone and am comfortable in most of the F1 drivers seats (the Japanese sepc ones are a little small!!) but am a little squashed in the passenger seats!!

So I forgot to add pics of the rather interesting car I transported at the same time as the Mc Hunt mobile, ok its not a Mac but a rather rare car & made for an interesting 2 car load.

If any one is around Bolton area, are this two plus many other interesting things- WRC car BTCC car WTCC car GT3 Mac, Manor F1 shell, & a few others are on display at Uni of Bolton Motorsport engineering campus in the city centre.

We can now confirm our new Ultimate Series - codenamed P15 - will be revealed on December 10th. At exactly one minute past midnight, the world will get its first sight of a road-legal track car unlike anything we've built before. It's time to get excited.

Depends, supercars usually driven, as usually no winch points, often tight tho so need a second helper, but the M26 & deltawing nope, Deltawing well driven would have been tough without its engine in! But you can't just start & drive an F1 car even one that old, without a team present, plus even if possible it's really tight on clearance etc, it's light as a feather so that was pushed on & off.

I really dislike McLaren Orange, it seems to suit very little that they actually produce. That new car needs a Ďtougherí colour.

I quite like the new one though, looks outrageously purposeful and designed for a single use. To go ****ing fast around a circuit. I got time for that...

I think the side in view is the least convincing by some margin.
Front, back, front 3/4, rear 3/4 all great, but the side view........... meh

Looking forward to this year with the new cars and engines. Testing is not far away...

We got to say a goodbye to Ron on Friday, he bought a night out at the Royal Albert Hall for the staff who worked under him and key sponsors to attend, we got to watch Circus De Soleil and hear his final thoughts. Fun night but sad becuase it was the end to his chapter.

I agree it does not look great in the pictures or the choice of colour, I have seen this car up close and a number of different coloured ones too now - the darker colours do make a difference.

I know it gets said and some may think it's a defensive posture but this car does need to be viewed in the flesh or pictured dynamically - there are so many engineering details that you get to see in flesh which do not show up easily in picture.

The car is not meant to be beautiful, it's styling is meant to portray its purpose - it needs to be faster than the P1LM around the ring to hold any credibility and justify the styling IMO.

I'm lead to believe it will be faster than the P1LM by some way too...
