Helps you think of the good stuff.

In other series news, Widow was OK but could have been much better. The high quality prodction and useful storyline kept it together, but Kate Beckinsale, whilst lovely to look at, was unbelievable - as in, not believable. That may have been the poor script though. Still, worth a gander.

We're trying Russian Doll now, it's a bit Groundhog day so far but entertaining.

    Bookmarked......
Me and Mrs B get whatever boxed set we can find in charity shops to watch in France. Just done The West Wing...from the late 90s/early noughties and are now halfway thru House..from mid to late noughties

Bookmarked because I can come back in 2036 and see what everyone watched in 2019...and find it cheap in charity shops.

I decided to watch Killing Eve, to see what all the fuss was about.

I don’t warm to the joint lead - Sandra Oh - and some of the advertising images put me off. I thought it was some emotional lady-drama.

Nope, it is about a sassy serial killer / contract killer with an international espionage overtone. Right up my street and brilliant.

    It is on iPlayer.

    Ghosts on iPlayer

Six half hour episodes of silly comedy from the Horrible Histories crew.

    Recommended, especially with kids

    S3 of Stranger Things.

More zombie horror than previous, really enjoyed it.
Simon no longer owes me anything, Dave does though.
Floyd probably owes me at least twenty with the interest rolling up...

    Was MUCH better than S3!

Just binged Black Summer, ok if you like zombie stuff & Killing Eve S2.

Currently binging Parks & Recreation after stealing my bro's Prime login and watching Gomorrah on Sky Boxsets.
One episode left of When They See Us. Absolute shithousery of the highest order by NYPD!

The acting is dire, but otherwise it's thoroughly entertaining.

Game of Thrones: I've just crept out of a hole in the ground and started watching the first series.

3 eposides in so far, and it's not really "all that". Does it get any better? Or has everyone been sucked into a socially-driven groupthink of cognotive bias that it's the best thing ever? No dragons yet. Stick with it?

Definitely stick with it, there are some later episodes that have been some of the best tv I've ever watched (Red Wedding, Hard Home & Battle of the Bastards are incredible).

I think by the end of S1 you'll have enough in it to want to keep watching.

It was known in our house as "sex and stabbing" ... Pretty much sums it up.

Amazon Prime - The Boys - a very enjoyable lampooning of super-hero stuff that's also violent, rude and funny.

    Mrs Hell loved it, too.

Hurrah for it being a single 8 episode season, too

You're just going to have to excuse Karl Urban's accent.

I honestly have no idea where he thinks he's trying to sound like he's from, but it ain't the UK.

At some point we're going to have to subscribe to Netflix again for a bit to catch some of this stuff.

Smashed through all 8 episodes of The Boys in a few days.

Brit accent by a kiwi and a yank accent by a Brit (pegg) - awful.

The rest is ace. Looking forward to Season 2.

Need to get back to Stranger Things now. Half way through Season 2.

Not quite. In fact at the moment I'm probably the most healthy I've been for the last 15 years

Just popped in to shamelessly promote Claire's new photo website. I would pop in more often but there doesn't seem to be much new material, if I'm honest

What do you mean? Every Friday we get to find out what Gary is up to for the weekend.

Oh come on - there's a whole thread on Boris Bloody Johnson!

And several people have bought new(ish) cars in the last few months - Garrad has probably bought several since you last looked.
