Bike is in for a service, rear mech wasn't shifting properly, and I tried re-indexing it and just couldn't.

Shop just called, cable had almost snapped in the hoods! That has saved me a a very difficult ride home had it snapped away from home!

Sat in the passenger side of a C63 AMG on the Isle of Skye whilst a seventy year old man driving said "oh, Fück this" , pulled out and overtook seven cars at double the speed limit, with a small bridge about the fifth car. I can't be certain it was the fifth car, I think my eyes were closed. Certainly my scrotum was clenched.

FYI 60 was the published speed limit. Bloody lunatic. I love him!

I've done similar - luck is a big part of success here.

Was supposed to be getting a ferry back from Ireland this morning, but were very fortunate to catch the one at 6.10pm yesterday. So instead of being home this evening, I got in early hours this morning. Free day!!!! Have cut the grass and mooched about. Sat enjoying the sun now. Perfect

My oven went pop last week, fortunately just after I'd run out of food and needed to go shopping (and while I was trying to heat up something that I could just eat cold).

After one call to the letting agent, the maintenance Gary was assigned to investigate, and by the time I returned home the following day a new oven was installed. I didn't need to stay home waiting for an engineer/installer, didn't have to chase anyone up, didn't have to order anything or pay anyone any money. I think it's a first.

Guy at work sent a firm wide email, selling some Flight of the Conchords tickets for a gig at the o2 which he now can't make..

    It reads:
"I have 4x tickets for the Flight of the Conchords at the 02 on the 21st June. They had to shift the dates so I can’t go. I will happily take face at £75 each, and can sell a pair of tickets or all 4"

For some unknown reason, he's included the PDF containing the tickets on the email, stating a face value of £60.

Not that you need to pay him for the tickets as can just print off the PDF tickets and go anyway.

Not picking it up for a few weeks yet so will keep it under wraps until then.

    I'm pleased anyway.

It looks like his car disintegrated as it was driving along, causing him to crash. That doesn't make him any less of a tit though.

I think if I was Doran's car I'd go to pieces at the earliest possible opportunity. It'll only end up upside down otherwise...

I think the Dorans mould their own RS200 body panels, saving money on maintenance AND drivers...

Found an IPhone sitting on a post next to a chained up bike in Pall Mall after I dropped H at the start of the British 10k this morning. Managed to get hold of a mate of his in germany via some notifications that were saved from FB messenger.

He's just been round to collect it, and was very grateful.
