Lord Justice Jackson said the stress and cost of the couple’s two-and-a-half-year struggle through the courts were both “huge”, and told the court: “The outcome of this litigation will be a disaster for the claimants, a fact which I regret”.
But he added: “On the other hand, their predicament is a consequence of their decision to purchase a house in an area where motor sports were an established activity”.
    Hahahahahaha

Lol at the facebook moans. True!

I hate media empires that get out of control. Something should be done about that.

When people have a crash. They stand there looking at what's happened, then with the cars where they were when they crashed they'll exchange details causing huge tailbacks.

The process is 1) Is everyone ok? 2) MOVE THE FCUCKING CARS OUT OF THE ROAD

    TOSSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Getting people who've clearly no experience of something to make recommendations on how to improve it. Justine Greening and Sir Roy McNulty, I'm looking at you (at the moment), with your stupid tossing proposals to improve the railways. Getting a 'Sir' to make recommendations on the railways? Unbelievable. Clearly neither of these people have ever had a rail commute of any distance in their lives. Closing tickets offices and selling tickets in shops and libraries instead? Give me f**king strength.

People on the motorway who slow down to look at a crash on the opposite carriageway thereby causing a massive tailback on a section of road that (for once) doesn't have its own crash on it

Have you never seen some clueless fool drive into the back of someone else ?

You should see it in Portugal where it is explicitly illegal to move the vehicles whatsoever (until the Rozzeraldinhos have shown up).

Even a paint scuff results in gridlock.

They do or they should do ?

Actually, I'd fine/give points to people who crash on a motorway (all travelling in the same direction, no sharp bends, WTF is their problem ?) for not paying attention

    Unreliable internet Forums...

Gary, I`ve been thinking about this. Now you`ve opened up the forum and we are getting a couple of hundred search bots online at any one time, are they increasing the load on the server and causing some of the issues . Or is it just a poor server ?

Given the amount of knowledge and good will about all things techie on here, is it worth putting together a sub-forum or thread (possibly with limited access) to use the Northloop Techie brigade as quick tech support? Not suggesting access, but if we can get any sort of troubleshooting access or details from fault tickets, we may be able to make suggestions?

Completely on a tangent to the current topic, but I'd like to moan about something else.

I think Monday morning injections should be banned. Especially ones that make you hurt more than the pain they're there to sort out (although I'm promised it'll feel a lot better in a couple of days).

There. Feels better now. Carry on.

I'd like to moan about people that moan, we're all guilty of it, but **** me, we all have internet connections, we're all lucky enough to have cars, and most of us are lucky enough to be able to travel around europe in pursuit of our hobby.

I'd say on the face of it, we have very little to moan about.

    But carry on.

I should qualify it with vegetarians who don't eat meat on ethical grounds, but are happy to have fish die for their plate. Not veggies who simply don't like meat.

    Nige.

There is no proof that this is a hosting issue. The last time it occured I spoke to the hoster and they were insistant it was another issue and not theirs. I had a couple of other people look at it and they couldn't resolve it or point the blame at where the issue was coming from.

Now it's happened again the hoster has been contacted and we are waiting their response. I wont be doing anything rash like changing the set up of the forum without hearing from them.

As for moving to another hoster as you know the offer from Titan is no longer on the table. As such we wont be moving there in the near future.

And to give an up to date response having checked the replies from the hoster, they have acknowledged that it is their issue and are still working on a permanent resolution.

Tossing bone idle fat neighbours who park their car blocking my garage then moan when I have the audacity to ask them to move their car and not park there again.
They need to use the area in front of my garage (only stores my bike and pushbikes) to turn into their drive as they can never be arsed to reverse in. They will be getting a wake up call when I fit the new steel bollards that will make there manoeuvre 'interesting'.

I understand what you are saying, but as I said, this is the only vBulletin forum I go on that keeps getting server timeout and database errors, so what else can it be ?

So long as they fix it and it becomes reliable, we`ll all be happier.

I was suggesting the number of search bots that are always indexing the site as a possible cause, thats all.

My alarm going of at 05:30 every morning really annoys me, closely followed by the mild panic of thinking I'd over slept after losing count of how many times I'd hit "snooze"!

Depends on the road, and the bike path. So many variables there.
Most bike paths in cities are a fecking joke, and all but complete novices are better off mixing it up in traffic with the cars imo. That's my take on Central London, anyway.
Out here in LA LA land, bike lanes are a godsend as most drivers have to be sent a very clear signal that there are cyclists about.
Expecting every cyclist to want to go exactly where the bike lane goes is somewhat naive though, and the reports of New Yorkers getting fined for 'straying' outside them are ludicrous.

I take it you've seen this...
