I saw a cardiologist at the end of March. Treatment was agreed as a day patient and would be in 3 to 4 months. Iím now thinking late June to early August. Good, as Iím at the TT from 25 May to 14 June.
They ring me yesterday and leave a message asking to book me in for a pre op on 28th May and the procedure on 1st June. I canít speak with them as the number they ring from wonít accept return calls. Mongo rings them to try to sort it. She explains that I told the staff in March that I was away for 3 weeks in May/June but the 3-4 moths seems to point to July. Not their issue and not a problem if I canít take that date but I must take the next one or Iíll be referred back to my GP as I can only turn down 1 date. Eh? None of the morons have asked for dates to avoid (like they do when scheduling court cases for instance) my ďholidayĒ booking was made in June 2018, predating by 8 moths my present medical condition.
Is it beyond the scope of a specialist department to ask patients if they have dates to avoid OR if they can come at very short notice.
I wait with baited breath to see when my next appt is. I have told them when I will not be able to make it.

The really stupid thing is that for 2 of the previous 4 occasions I have had this, I had been off work for 4 to 5 months. I wasnít once asked if an early appt would be beneficial for the company....yes...the taxpayers spunked £20k on me being off....for a £2k procedure.

    Archaic to say the least.
Its ridiculous. I've had a revised date for my consultation like you the day in the middle of my holiday. I now have a date I can do but such a faff.

The daft thing is that inefficient scheduling makes work for the NHS and you. It doesnít seem beyond us to book these things in real time...

Found a coolant leak on the swift. Leak was caused by a utter crap pipe / clamps provided in the new induction system. Any heat / pressure leaks so useless. Ordered pipe to replace wont be here till weekend apparently - I go to Germany before then and need it fixed.

Rock up to a Engineering place local, find me what I need, half a meter free as its a off cut.

Get home to fit it & lots of faffing, cut hands, bad language etc all on. Test drive done and seems to be sorted now.

Wish i never bothered with the induction system now but cant go back to standard as the air box is in South Africa

Cars that sit 1/2 a car to 1 car length away from busy junctions (the dashed line markings). Just takes longer to react IMO.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Freaking Customs.

Tried to submit a VAT return today, first time on their new cloud based MTD system. What a bloody surprise, it doesn't work.
Eventually they tell us to use the fallback system as they can't seem to get the new system working at all. Now the fallback has crashed as I suspect a large number of others are in the same boat. An absolute frigging joke. I'd be interested to see how much they have invested in this pile of wank. I bet it's eye watering.

So Apple FINALLY listened to their professional users and built a fully modular Mac Pro workstation to replace that laughable little trashcan heap of shit.
Only now with a half-decent spec and matching monitor, it's probably going to cost you about as much as a Ducati...

Oh, and it looks like a bathroom fitter designed it.
