Hello all, we run www.racedatasystems.co.uk specialists in motorsport data logging and video systems as well as running a BMW CSL race car that races in Britcar when funds permit!

Have probably met a few of you on track, and we of course know Herr Teflon (who doesn't?)

We very proudly took a class 2 win at the Britcar Production round at Snett this weekend, with Nathan behind the wheel, so very chuffed :D

Finally got round to posting my Hello! I'm a part time motorsport photographer in the UK and I've just got back from my first trip to the Ring. Managed six laps and a bit of photography too, fantastic weekend. A huge thanks to tertius who talked me round the circuit, would have been lost without him.

Now for a bit of shameless self promotion... :D

Hello all, had a couple of posts but thought I had better firmallymintroduce myself!

I'm Alister from Hampshire, currently driving a e30 4 door with a m30 3.5 fitted. I bought the car all ready done from eBay of course, home of all the great track prepared cars..... It failed the mot horrendously after I bought it on rusty brake pipes, welding, rear brakes so after dusting off the welder and getting my friendly spanner monkey to sort the rest the old girl was road legal.
It's stripped out, h&r cup suspension with hottuning rear springs as was too low on the h&r. Willwood 4pots on the front, larger discs, braided lines all round, LSD, rs turbo recarro seats and 4 point harnesses. Yokohama ado4 tyres on standard 15" bbs alloys painted orange. Uprated adjustable arb's front and back.
Just back from third trip to the ring, second in this car, last year went in my e30 325'which is now in bits in the garage being rebuilt for some track action next year.
Got to speak to afew people from here over the weekend, tim from Yorkshire, nige

ARGH! My spec has just changed again! I've now got a standard mani and standard cams!

The last 6 months has been emotional for me and the car. Made huge mistake off buying an engine from hiflowheads only for it to be dogshite and spent loads on getting it sorted...

On the plus side the handling is the absolute tits...enough to scare the evo and scooby owners on here im sure lol

I've learnt so much though shame i learnt toyo proxes 4's are pretty krap a few days before the ring LOL

Here's a pic from about a year ago with the old wheels on and minus the 106 mirrors etc

    hello everybody!
my name is renaud,i'm 26 and I live in France,at 170km to nurburgring!
I started to run in 2008 october, with a civic VTi!

after,I bought a clio williams, very good car to learn nordschleife in good conditions,
Unfortunately, the reliability was not good ....I used it until the end of 2009,in the meantime I did a few laps with my girlfriend's car,a honda cr-x!

    I started 2010 with my 1986 pug's 205 GTi 1.9!
A fantastic car, very funny but less efficient than wiwi!

now I use an Integra Type R,it's a very good car for me,I love it!!!

    I have 122 laps!
I met nige Saturday and I did 3 rounds against him, he's a super nice guy and very fast with his golf!
    salut les gars! ;-)

Hello, thought it was about time I said hi.

I registered on here aaaages ago after doing one lap in a hire car (was working in Germany and thought it rude not to :D ).

    Worst car ever!

I'm about to head out again on the 25-27th August in my E36 M3.

Anyone else there at the same time?

Also have an E30 track slag which may see the northloop at some point:

Good Morrow to Thee, Good Citizens.

I'm a long-time fan of (and frequent annual visitor to) the Mecca of sports car racing that is Le Mans, but I've a;so had a long-time passion for the mighty Nordschleife (the Mecca of motorsport, full stop, in my humble opinion).

I'm also to be found on the Ringers forum, Club Arnage and Beermountain (I provided the section about visiting Le Mans on foot in this year's CA Guide) and I'm currently making early plans to head for the 2011 Nurburgring 24 Hours (also on foot).

Evening, went with Pie et al on 18-25th August, only my 2nd trip, the first in my car. Pie mentioned the forum a few times, and we met someone from Northloop while we were there. White Integra, green wheels. Can't remember his name. I plan on returning fairly regularly so thought I'd sign up.

In case anyone is interested, I drive an 02 Mini ONE with 118 bhp, and my only timed lap so far is a 9.45.

Hello folks, I've been browsing on here for ages, but hardly ever posted!

Directed here some time ago by Montana, been out to the ring 3 times now, twice this year. Was lucky enough to meet Jim and Gary at Burgstube back in april.

I'm browsing on a regular basis, but in northloop terms, I feel like a complete newb!

22 laps done so far, 19 in an A3 1.8T, and 3 in my rather fragile 1380 mini
    Wrong-wheel Drive, Turbocharged, and proud!

    Cheers for the welcome folks!

I had a bit of an eye opener back at Easter when Jim asked me how I found it, and I said '' it's very hard on the brakes '' and the whole bar laughed at me.

Another 15 laps in and I'm starting to realise it's all about being smooth, and finding the lines that can be taken flat or with a small lift. my last 4-5 laps were MILES quicker than previous, but far more uneventful simply due to getting a feel for it I guess.

Planning at least 3 trips for next year
