All loaded and ready to go. We`re taking a roofbox this time, full of duvets and pillows, leaves loads more room in the X5 & Golf. We actually have room for more stuff !

The usual amount of photos should follow in due course :D

    We are excited. :veryhappy:

There's a distinct lack of updates happening here. :nono:
Simon no longer owes me anything, Dave does though.

Good drive to the Tunnel. I have a 34oz Insulated cup that is great when travelling :)

    This way !

On the full-height tunnel carriages. Journey was as quick as usual

After lots of traffic and a 7hour journey from Calais, we arrived in Nurburg at 8pm and quickly put the tent up before it started getting dark

The balancing game brought out lots of "if you fall you`'' hurt yourself..." comments

Meal of fried ham, pasta and sauce was delicious

Shattered and bed at just after 11..

Wednesday and we put up the gazebo, its started to get a little tired and now needs assistance from cable ties and gaffer tape

    Andrew and Tom helped too

    Hi..

Time to get wood. I`ve got a new chainsaw this year, its much better :D

    Splitting

Megasquirt broke. Grrrrr. Put K-Jet back on. More info on that later.

Went to the ring, chatted to Northloopers, bought my JK and did 4 laps, it opened late so didn`t have time to do more. I was surprised how quickly it all came back. Car ran well, I was pleased.

Went to Jorgs on Wednesday evening and he prepared a fantastic meal for us. Back to the Bar and it was time for a sing-along. There was also an arm wrestling `competition`. Jorg and I ended up conceding a draw. My arm still aches

    Karin.

    Karin & Cat

    The singing was going well

    Kim, Claire, Cat & Karin

    The Sing-along started

    Me and Cat ;)

You`re my bestest mate you are...

    This always kept happening....

    Jorg was giving it everything.

Matty was barman. This turned out to be a BAD thing.

    Claire & Kim singing along

Ah.. Matty decided to `try` some of the shots on Bren & Jorg.. This would not end well.

This one even had `bits` in :o

    Tasted crap too..

    Claire & Kim again

    Me. Propping up the Bar

At 01:30 we decided it was time to leave after a fabulous evening. Thanks Jorg :thumb:

A Late start Thursday morning.. I felt fine, but we were all just tired.

It was raining and I needed to change the rear wheel bearing on the GOlf. It was fine on the road, but when loaded up on fast corners was making noises. Reversed into the Gazebo to keep clean.

The old bearing was showing signs of wear. New one fitted, test drive and all was well.

Went to Karls to fit his new K-Jet, but there is something weird going on.Can simply won`t rev, at all. Removed inlet manifold and cam cover, checked cam timing and cambelt timing, all spot on. I`m starting to think its spark related, but I`m struggling :(

Did another 6 laps on the ring in the evening, had a VERY close moment with a UK Nova.I thought I was pretty good at ready car "body language" and when the car made a definate move to the right, I pulled alongside, I didn't expect him to then turn into the corner. This was at the entrance to Hatzenback, I took to the inside kerb and had more of the Golf on the grass than on the road. Scary and unexpected.

Back to the campsite for chicken stir fry then beer.

A proper fire :smug: We were joined by Andrew, His friend John & his brother, Tom, his FRIEND Helen and UK Biker who is touring Europe and called in at the ring. I also went and had a talk to some UK Golf owners who are over for the weekend.

Small kettle being heated in the fire..

Called it a night at about half 12, had a really enjoyable evening. This is exactly why we go camping for, good company, fire, beer and time simply flies. :thumb:
