While at Donington Park for the trackday thing the other weekend, I spotted a modified Defender tooling around. I approached it cautiously, lest it's owner think I was admiring it.

The smoked tints on the aftermarket headlights are one thing, but check out the hideous, illegal and dangerous distance by which the wheels and tyres protrude from the bodywork:

The reason for this is apparent when you look into the arches. It already has needlessly-wide tyres, and the owner has thought it best to add 50mm spacers all around. Good luck with the wheel bearings, bro!

That's awful! The vans tyres sticking way past the arches made it stand out to me today when I snapped the pic.

I've featured this 911 before, but it's worth including again as the youthful owner has seen fit to modify it further. The Piorn Star number plate is unchanged, but the GT3 RS vinyls on the side add a certain "je ne pense pas".

If there's one thing a rear-engine car really needs, it's additional weight hanging off the back, in this case combined with dubious aerodynamic "effects":

The new front bumper has some GT3-esque vents in it, but it's not clear if these do any more than cool the back of the number plate:

The interior now features 918-style buckets, loosely covered in some baggy PVC-like material:

P.S. further to the above badge-engineering, I did briefly follow an "M120d" at the weekend

Phenomenal. The headlamps are somehow even closer together than they are on the Rover 100 they were taken from.

Not visited this thread for a while.

Sadly I knew precisely both the car and the location from the thumbnails you posted.

Newport IW, Lugley Street car park. It must have been sitting there for the best part of a decade.

You know that phrase "ram-raided halfords". It was invented for this van, which then turned around and reversed into Halfords as well.

He clearly hasn't found the knack of skidding sideways into Halfords yet.
