We do tend to use a good few abbreviations on here. Often without even thinking.

To aid you with your enjoyment here is a list.

1. BTG - Bridge to Gantry, a timing method. The Bridge is 200 yards passed the cones as you start your lap. The gantry crosses the track 200 yards along the main straight at the end of your lap.

2. SX - Schwedenkreuz corner about 5KM's in at the end of the fastest section

3. AF - Adenauer Forst - corner 2KM's after SX. It's a tightening left and right where newbies tend to go off.

4. DRT - Dedicated Ring Toy. A race-prepared car not otherwise used for road purposes, often billeted nearby in Germany rather than trailered over every second weekend. God's way of telling you you've become an adreneline junkie.

5. PF - Pflanzgarten - 3/4 of the way around the lap, downhill over the 'jump' then the uphill right hander leading to the big drop 'sprunghugel'

6. PF2 and PF3 as always open to discussion

7. DH - Dottinger Hohe - the start/finish straight

8. PK - Pistenklause - arguably the most popular eating place in Nurburg..

9. PAX lap - Passenger Lap.

10. JK, not a popular singer but an annual pass to the Ring (jahreskarte). 1/2 JK is the half yearly pass available from the summer onwards.

11. QH - Quiddelbacher Hohe - the jump just on the entry to Flugplatz

12. GK - Galgenkopf - last corner before the sphincter Muscles can relax

13. CB - Cheri Bar - place of ill repute in Adenau

14. GH - Grun Holle cafe in the main car park
