With a little help from 2 ADAC trucks a 2 pound hammer and a visit to the scrappy for a headlight and a couple of indicators, I was back on track the following day.

thats the inherant problem with new cars- too much plastic in the engine bay so you cant see if you're hitting the correct thing!

good work sir, and nice brief in the jetta gti :thumb:

You think you'd learn after that little mishap, but no, you had to go and hit the barriers backwards on the sunday morning!

Ah well, that was actually on saturday morning Simon in the wet when I popped the rear,

This was sunday morning,

I had the car fixed by noon, if we had found a headlight I would have been back out in the afternoon.

Had to wait until the following day when the scrappy opened.

To be read in heavy Scottish twang-

:P

I took my jetta to Germany to hoon it & 'ring it

Un-fortunanatly I drove like a goon & I managed to bin it,

But with my trusty hammer I gave it a whack

& och aye the noo soon got back on track

Unfortunatly I binned it again just after noon
