Take on muddy, gravely field, add one Mk2 Escort and finally throw in a nice muddy track up through the trees with a few hairpins and you have the ingredients for an awesome afternoon!

After spending Friday arsing about at Finmere (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Northloop/index.php?showtopic=22969&hl=), I was back up within 3 miles of the place this afternoon at the London Rally School (http://www.rally-school.com/)

Despite appearances, my father assures me he *did* enjoy himself:

Sadly we didn't get to have a go in the F20C powered car, although I'm told it will be competing at the Rockingham stages in December. A stunning car and I may just be tempted to pop over for that event.

Looks like a great day Darren!!

Rockingham isn't the best of events, but its good fun. I have been servicing on it for the past 2 years, but the car got smashed up there last year. Im hoping we will be back this year, but the car hasn't been put back together yet, so im not sure.

It was a really good day. More so than I expected, I think.

A comment from the instructor at the end of the day illustrated that they're happy for you to give the cars death; he said I was obviously used to driving my own cars on track as I was being very gentle with the engine - I thought I was caning it!

Highly recommended. I reckon I shall end up back there at some point.
