And there's my little helper :D

Which is OK as they were a bargain and in the right size :thumb: :

But then some more turned up from a bit of an Ebay novice type cock up

I've now cornered the market for cup tyres

And you can see why - they're over 5 years old. I wonder if they have more grip than a new road tyre.

How very clever of you Joanne  I can read the date too!

My A032's you see in the collectve shot are old too but still do the business.

I guess you can afford only the newest, bestest tyres in the world. How I wish I was you.

Hi,

sorry for my bad english, I didn't mean to be smug, I knew that you can read the date as well. It's always recommended not to use tyres that are older than 5 or 6 years, but does that apply also to tyres that haven't been used at all?

Bye,
Johannes

P.S.: Quoting my name correctly would be nice, though.

Johanne, Yes it did come across as smug and patronising. There are better ways to give advice. I was fully aware that these may be old stock. I suspected that they were a job lot of tyres that didn't go to BMW or something but at less than 50 a corner it was worth the risk to me. They haven't been used so probably no heat cycling and they aren't cracked so hopefully they have been stored indoors.

I'll take it easy for the first time I use them and see how they go.

For that money they don't need to be better than street tyres, which makes my above comment rather superfluous. My apologies.

I hope they are better than street tyres even for 'Gary' money ;)

Anyway, as Darth Vader once said "apology accepted Captain Needar", but without the dark side strangle bit of course

I think we can safely say that we have 'broken you in' now to Northloop :hehegay:

Gary, upgrade him now to 'apprentice' level immediately :P

Er, no. The A032's I bought for 50 (the set of 4 including alloys of course) on an earlier deal. I didn't know what I was doing on Ebay and ended up with 2 sets from different auctions

Hey ho
