Just got back from a weeks stay at the ring, we went from hull to zeebrugge on saturday night that ferry trip was alot better than the rotterdam route bizzarly. We got loaded first on the ferry due to having a club class cabin. Pleasant suprise of the nice beach & buildings at the port. Headed down the motorway past zolder & we arrived in Adenau on the lunchtime of the 20th we passed the PPC rover who was heading back to the motorway .

Had a spot of lunch checked into the Blau ecke & headed up to the ring for a couple of laps to find it closed

Went back round to bruchenn to watch for a bit but after a bit of a wait with no action, headed back down to the hotel to meet up with my mate who had travelled up from zurich on his way back to rotterdam. We both headed back up to the ring at about 4.40 ish to find it closed again  Sunday afternoon appeared to be a free for all from the specktating I did see was a 205 gti overtaking on the right throught the exit of phflantz garden 1. ;)

So give up & went back for some beer.

Monday spent most of the day watching the test cars, witing for the TF to start at 5.45 pm well 5.45 pm came & went as the could not open until sport auto had carried out some timed laps in a Gumpert & a panamera. So at about 6.10pm it opened & off we went. Got a few laps in until come 7.00 pm ,when I was on my first sub 9 min lap. When at wipperman was slowed by a couple of biker that had canned it (everyone looked ok), 2 more corners on was flagged to slow again dropped off the speed to come round the corner to find debris all over the road including a motorbike. 5 bikes had gone down, there was an oil spill sign before that corner (everyone looked ok).

That was the end of monday night track closed again.

Had a nice steak at the pistenklaus.

Tuesday spent most of the day doing the same as monday, had a quick look at Ring work Mall pretty impressive & very empty.

Went for a RSR tour rally on tuesday afternoon in the Lotus Exige S, rea good afternoon was had by all.

Tuesday night a repeat of monday night track opened late & closed early dueto another bike crash.

Wednesday Went to Cochem for the day it was simply brilliant, wednesday night had 5 easy laps at about 70% as the speed controller in the passenger seat was not wearing her helmet.

It was nice on wednesday night as everyone seemed to be behaving themselves.

Thursay we went to Ring Werk, got in for half price & we were also given free tickets for next year. The Nurbus ride was good fun as so was the 4D cinema.

Then headed for the rotterdam ferry, got stuck 30 miles from rotterdam in a hour long traffic jam.

Getting off the ferry in the uk on friday morning  was a joke nearly 45mins to get off due to the border control & police.

Here is a few pics.

why is the zebrugge ferry crossing better than rotterdam. i'm interested as i usually go to rotterdam (quicker crossing and nearer to nurburg). is it any cheaper? does the casino pay better odds? are there less scottish people aboard? [/b][/quote]
I have done the rotterdam crossing before & have only done the zeebrugge crossing once.

It is a smaller ferry, the loading was alot quicker. it was alot easier to find your way round the ferry & it is almost 100 cheaper.

The driving time was shorter than rotterdam even thought the distance is 20 miles longer.

It was nearly just a couple of turns as one road seemed to join the next.

& the reception at zebrugge was freindlier with a nice beach.

I will not be using Rotterdam again.

Won 70 on roulette zebrugge ferry , won 190 on roulette on rotterdam ferry

So not sure about betting odds :P
