Guy's, I have a 16V Turbo Fiat Coupe..

On cold start (usually first thing in the morning, but sometimes if the car has sat during the day and got cold) i have a slight problem!

If I start the car and leave to idle, after a few minutes the car comes off of the cold start cycle and will stall. I can then re-start and all is fine.

OR

If I start the car and move off, the car will stall as soon as I touch the throttle. After about 3 restarts all is fine and the car behaves as normal.

OR

Sometimes the car will move off after being started first time and for about a minute of driving it will be very hesitant, no power then some power, then none again...
As before, once its come off of that initial cold start thing its fine!

Does anyone recognise the fault? What do you think?

Thanks for any help guy's. (As far as i'm aware the car is standard)

Cheers

Jon

You need a diagnostic machine to look at it, but I suspect the coolant temperature sensor is out of range at its lower level.
