View Full Version : Chris joins Northloop on the 24 hrs………

At last, I have finally managed to attend a Northloop event which I’ve paid for   .

My aim for this trip was as follows:

1. To experience the 24 hrs.
2. Meet other Northloopers.
3. Find out exactly ‘who’ was in the clique :fish: .
4. Personally thank Gary and Floyd for this month’s wages :veryhappy: .

Day one…….

My weekend started off at 0930 on the Thursday after taking the kids to school. Fortunately, as I’m already in the Fatherland I didn’t have the inbuggerance of all that ferry crossing malarkey so, my trip down was simply joining the Autobahn and putting one’s foot down in the big 5 derv ;) . Doing 155 mph legally is quite a buzz  :thumb: .

Anyway, 270 miles & 3 ½ hours later, I arrived at the Burgstube. I met Martin & Heidi before identifying my scratcher for the weekend. I was fortunate to be in the ‘comedy flat’ on the top floor of Pension Heidi which, there’s plenty more to talk about as the weekend progressed  . Once moved in I met Terence and we proceeded to the bar for our first of many Bit Burgers over the weekend :drink: . 2x 0.5 ltrs later and the comedy pug arrived, loaded with our hosts Gary & Teffers along side Martin (referred to later on, by a drunken orrificer, as ‘PINK SHREK’), Ian Pye and the aforementioned Jim Maceroon. After the meet and greet and a few more sherbets, it was off for our first taste of 24 hr action :thumb: .

Hatzenbach was our first destination, dropped off in two trips, myself, Ian and Terence on the first detail. We found our spot which, was conveniently placed directly in front of the beer and food stand :drink: . From here we watched a few hours of the renaults & some classic 24 hour stuff, the noise of the BMW M1’s being the one’s that made me do a sex wee!! Clearly, the German’s had prepared well for this…….

An hour or so later we were joined by Gary, Teffers, Jim, Martin and Oakie. My introduction to Oakie was ‘Gary says you are OIC plastic cups’ to which I replied ‘Well Gary can get fcuked'. I think it was from here on in where myself and Oakie made our bond! :thumb:

A few sherbets more and we were off down into Adenau and into the Comfy Corner. Scoff was superb (many thanks Jorg) and the evening’s entertainment that followed was outstanding ;) . I don’t think Jorg & Gary’s version of ‘Dirty old man’ will quite make the ‘X Factor’ though. It was also an experience to meet Karl and a very drunken Bren, which I’m probably assuming the latter has no recollection of who I am :fish: .

.....'Dirty old mannnnnnn........dirty old mannnnnnn...'

Anyone here feeling drunk yet ???

Karl clearly loves Gary's version of Wonderwall....

Ian: "So, this guy Fabian comes up to me....."

Cheesier grin......

Martin was clearly having an intersting conversation with Sonja...

Around 2 am it was off back to the Burgstube when upon entering the comedy flat I was shocked to find our very own ‘Count Burgstube’ in the form of Ian, none the less otherwise known as Anarky. 10 mins later I was asleep but, 5 mins later I was awake again. The comedy flat was in business :pokefun: :shout: . Oakie and Ian had arrived along with our guest sleeper for the night, Jim. After some jovial banter, we were all in bed, lights off and then the noise started. I reckon within a ‘nano’ second of Jim’s head touching the pillow, the noise erupted. This was soon quietened by Oakie throwing random objects within the vicinity of the said noise. With Jim’s snoring finally under control and random beer farts contaminating the flat, we dropped off to sleep……..

End of day one.

More to come….including some particularly disturbing photo’s

Day two…..

Arising to the sound of rasping bums at 0830 was not the first thing that anyone really wants on a weekend break, plus i had a hangover that would kill a civvie  .

However, this is the 24 hr so toughen up and let’s get on with it :thumb: .

After a continental breakfast kindly prepared by Heidi & Co we departed for the GP circuit for a gander around the Paddock. This is when I met Dan and Mark  .

Bare with it, the day didn’t include alcohol until about 11am :shame:

Some random car stuff…..

This lot couldn’t be arsed to put an engine in it…

Weeman, you really shouldn’t get Gary to do your Graphics…. :pokefun:

Oakie going for the old ‘George Michael’ routine….. :smack:

Classics lining up…

At this point it was prevalent to go somewhere that had seating, so we wondered off to the Mercedes stand at the end of the straight.

Not sure I like the look of this ride……… :o

On arrival at the stand, Oakie was feeling a little under the influence………….. I put it down to pure gayness :jerk: so; I had to lend him some of my clothes to warm his cockles….

The paddock….

Somewhere on the Nordschleife…. :fish:

Couple of classics out on track..

Yay, check out the Mk1 fezza..

Agreed, the M1 sounded different to anything else in that race.

The Lexii (lexusus ?) sounded different to anything else in the 24hr too :thumb:

Yes those Lexii were different sounding but the New Zealand Audi RS4 sounded the best in the 24 hour.

 shall we close Friday night off...................

So, feeling a bit peckish we decided to RV with Ian, Martin, ‘Count Burgstube’ and wonder down to Pflanzgarten, again in 2 details using the French clutter Gary brought along with him  .

I was feeling pretty peckish by now to the point where I could have given someone a blowjob for something warm inside my stomach :o . Fortunately, there was a bratty wagon to hand and the first IA (Immediate Action) was currywurst mit pommes und Mayo.

German engineering at its best….

Some more token car shots…

Some tourists…..

Feeling more human and after an hour or so here we wondered en-mass on down the track fence line towards Mini-Karrousel. But first, Schwalbenschwanz was a surreal sight for sure….

The waltons….. :D

So we arrived at mini-karausell and Martin soon got chatting to Gary….

Oh no, not again Martin…..

But then some cars came along and woke us up…….

So we headed back to Pflanzgarten, luckily we had Ian or else they’d have thought we were local…

More German madness – BBQ on the back of a cherry picker – Excellent ! :thumb:

It was from here back onto the Burgstube for a break and of course, this is where we started on the beer again – hoorah for 1 ltr cans of FAXE, or is it SHAFT ??. Shortly after, we were joined by the Fantastic 4 and the obligatory pleasantries pursued. It was at this point that Simon muttered something about a Sky box ??? 3 beers too late mate, you should have wrote it down.

From here, our illustrious leader decided we should all go look at the massive merchandise stands – Yeh, nice one gary! :jerk:

En route, passing Sabines Gaff..

Mmmmm, GT40.....

The motley crew………

Suffice to say I didn’t waste space on my SD Card with the photos.

So, all about turn and back to the Burgstube for the ‘Northloop Massive’ BBQ – Top marks and many thanks to Martin & Co. Those Fajita’s were pretty cheeky mind, my arsehole was like the opening scene of ‘Bonanza’ the next morning!

Oh, nearly forgot – when we returned some chip’n’dale tribute blokes were out polishing their motors, clearly I couldn’t resist a quick snap…

Subsequently, we then proceeded to get on it……… :drink: :drink:

Jim, not so impressed with Karls fact of the day :fish: .

Dan and Mark….Clearly well impressed too...

‘Der, die dah, der die der dah…….’

So this is what you are supposed to look like when you are totally smashed !!!!!! :veryhappy:

Around 2am again, I decided to turn in. FORTUNATELY, this time I was the last one in. So, on turning all the lights on I wish I hadn’t…….

………..I was greeted by Guest sleeper No2………….. :o

Oakie and Rip Van Winkle……

It was at this point that Gary, now awake, decided he had the nibbles so divulged in some chicken crisps whilst scratching his balls……………………......., you think it looks bad, my eyes are still bleeding :o

Suffice to say I got my own back from the previous night, farting in a prevailing wind was not appreciated by the Count who was nearly sick :shf: .

Having had enough I decided to rest my head, shut the door to mine and Ian Pyes room and left the main light on Mmmmwwwwwwwhahahahahahahahahaha………

To be continued……………..

26-05-2009, 08:52 PM
I'm pissing myself here, at the count aka rip van winkle, oh stop please

Day 3 then……………..

Life started around 8am. Once Gary was up, we were ALL UP !

Ian Pye modelling for Calvin Klein…. :o

Very impressive Gary, drinking at 0817…..(shame I never told him I got caught short in the night)….......

Well, the same couldn’t be said for the Count

…………it was apparent that we had ruined him, he had peaked and was in total trauma. So much he couldn’t move, even after his bed collapsed  . Needless to say, Rip Van Winkle spent the first part of the 24 hours shacked up in his recovery pit :loser: . I think it may have been later on this day when Heidi disturbed him mid vinegar, :o hence the ‘evil look’ he was on about....................well its a good rumour to start  .

So, once we had stopped mucking around, we had breakfast and mounted up in the clutter mobile, I'm assuming that this is when Teffers rose from his pit came out to see us off in just his pants  . Just as he did so there was an almighty slam as his door closed   . Something tells me that it was at this moment that Teffers mentioned he didn’t have his key……

From here we went on up to Adenau Forst to watch the Classic 24 hrs racing. There was 6 of us so luckily for Ian the Peugeot is a 6 seater…….

Gary managed to bore a German so much that he buggered off and so Gary grabbed his spot on the scaffold and got some quality snaps in :jerk: , I was feeling a bit rough by this time so just monged it for an hour until we had to depart for the helicopter ride. I was kind enough to volunteer for the cheep seat on the way back, the guys thought it was funny until I dropped my guts and wafted it down the car :smug: . For this I was punished as Gary pushed it through the bends, you try explaining carpet burns on your arse!!! :shame:

Back at the Burgstube, we met up with the other ‘cliques’ and made our way to the helicopter landing area. In excitement, Teffers offered €5 for the first person to see his chopper, I think Oakie is still waiting for his €5 Darren

None the less, Darrens chopper came………..steady………. :nono:

‘I ain’t getting on no plane, fool…….’

Suffice to say, I did and it was nice to not have it weaving left & right with chaffs going off as we took off…..

Looking like I need a ‘hair of the dog’…

Awesome views…

10 mins later at €12.50 a minute we were back on the ground. It was at this point that I realised the lighter load (yeh, right) had already cracked on with the beer :drink: ………..bastards…….

After a group photo it was back off to the Burgstube to prepare for the main event, the 24 hours……..

Chris D
28-05-2009, 07:16 PM
Having prepared for a long one, including Oakie with his 24 hour survival kit  , we though that after our stint on day one, Hatzenbach was a prime spot for the start; it had the beer and food stand after all…

It wasn’t long until pretty much all the Cliques formed as one. Out came the folding chairs and the 5ltr beer kegs :drink: .

Germans…..buy cheap, buy twice

Shortly after, the big boys were out on track for their parade lap…. B)

And soon after, the 24 hours began…….they were off......... :veryhappy:

………..and so were the Cliques :D . Some decided to wonder on towards flugplatz and beyond. The remainder decided to crack on with the beer…… :drink:

Chris D
28-05-2009, 08:08 PM
After polishing off the 5ltr keg I decided to go for a wander in the direction of T13

Our viewing platz…..conveniently in front of the beer stand :thumb: :drink:

I see drunk people….

Quick Jim, get some red bull down your neck

With Oakie off the scene Martin was constantly buying me beer :fishing: . It pretty much went, cars, food, beer, cars, food, beer and so on………….. until it started to get dark……

Teffers was on driving duty so took the first lot into Adenau, destination – Breidscheid. We caught up about an hour later and headed for some scoff. Whilst Gary went off administer an underpant accident :shf: , myself, Oakie, Martin, Ian and Jim tried to order some Pizza. After nearly an hour and a very irate Jim  :fight: we eventually got served. By now Gary had returned a few pounds lighter and we headed off over the Aral for some more FAXE, or was it SHAFT Gary?? Fed and watered we headed up onto the bridge to watch the action…

Playing with some long exposure shots, no tripod...

Jim holding Garys SHAFT

Around about 2am the Tramp i thought i was sitting next to turned out to be Oakie, who bless him was tired. I agreed to make sure he got back ok so decided to turn in for the night.

That and i was smashed too..........
