Well after moving house Monday/Tuesday I decided I was due a reward so took myself off to the Nurburgring. I trailed the bike which tows smoothly at 75+ mph behind the Pug, although I kept the speed down due to traffic jams, saving fuel and avoiding fines from the dutch politie and the german polizei. After a 5hr drive I got to the Ring Pension with a bit of rain about, found my room read a bit of PB then hit the sack.

The track didn't open until 10 am, giving it some time to dry out and me to get the bike of the trailer. As soon as the track opened for bikes I headed, quite a few closures but plenty of nice weather. I managed 16.5 laps in on Saturday and am now starting to get in the flow on the GSXR. By the time I came off the track at 7:30 got back and had some beers I wandered down to the CC at about 9:30, only to find them shutting it up, so I wandered back into town, grabbed a pizza at the take away place that wasnít too bad and had it with a beer. I awoke Sunday to hear the rain start just as my alarm clock went off, so got another hour in bed. Went down to the track and watched some cars and the track dry, saw a few bikes starting to lap so did a half lap recce and came in to find the track shut. In the end I got 6.5 laps on Sunday between rain and track closures. Bruce kindly offered to watch my lines, but unfortunately had to stop to do his marshal duties for a beached Skyliner, so Iíll have to wait and get the criticism some other time! Had some fun with a guy called Clint on an 08 Blade over the weekend too.

So a few shots I found; a tentative lap after the track had been opened after multiple crashes and fluid spills (4 bikes had gone down in different spots ) :

Not quite sure where but laying down a faint black line:

Followed these two round for half a lap before getting passed them in some traffic:

Looks like it could be anywhere! :

It was then a case of loading the bike up Sunday evening and heading back, a little quicker at 3 3/4hrs with no traffic jams to hold me up. Another good weekend, the BT-016s are holding up nicely, looking forward to being back in two weeks time but will need some new front pads by then. I put the bike on Fast bike's fast road/track settings and it has helped the front end out a lot under braking, really enjoying it. I just need to work on my bravery now to up the speed a little and work on some sections, and improve my technique, plenty to keep me busy with.

great photos! Nice bike too :P

What are the websites to look out for photos apart from the obvious; www.ring-bilder.de and nordschleife-24.de??

And there's some dodgy South African's website here too:

Although if you were out early morning he will have missed you

Good stuff, I did see what I thought to be you but I imagine a random enthusiastically waving at you might be a bit confusing

Saturday looked to be a bit disjointed with all the queues and closures but seemed like you got a good stint in.

Random waving may have gone unnoticed, or I may have thought my bike was on fire :boom:

Yep Saturday was disjointed, but with a bike you can beat the queues and with a JK you can happily join at Breidscheid, the best of both worlds :thumb:
