We visited the Wild & Erlebnispark @ Daun (http://www.wildpark-daun.de) twice while on holiday & we all enjoyed it. It is not expensive at 20 Euros for the family and we spent a good few hours there. You get to drive your car around 12km's of forest tracks feeding deer, wild pigs, lama's etc from the car & you can also get out and wander around at various places en-route. The pigs are the funniest, squealing & charging towards you after food.

At the end of the trail they have an excellent childrens play area, a gift shop & a vey resonably priced resterant. We had lunch here & the chain of evolution was present

Well worth a visit although we did not see the bird of prey display as the timing was out for us :(

We have 2 or 3 track closed days when we go, looking to find new stuff to visit myself.

Simon,

If you like birds of prey, i recomend you visit Liberty's Reptile and Raptor Centre (http://www.libertyscentre.co.uk/) if ever you're in the New Forrest.
