Hardly a cloud in the sky

The boys spent time admiring Nige’s shiny engine

So there was no time to get wood & that evening we had to improvise

As always it was a great trip. It was lovely to catch up with some old friends and to meet new friends. It wouldn’t be the same without Northloop! :veryhappy:

A few thanks:

Thanks to Nige, Simon & Andrew T for the pax laps & especially to Nige for the impressive driving at Breidsheid.

Thanks to Stip for the note you left on Heidi

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t300/hippychick_H/Ring%20Easter%202009/DSC00276.jpg

Thanks to all at the Comfy Corner and the Burgstube for the food & wine

Thanks to Joel for finding these pics of me and to Lou for taking lots more

Thanks to Simon & Andrew for your company while walking in the woods, and especially to Simon for not keeping count of the number of times I swore at Foxhole!

Thanks again to Simon for being brave enough to pax with me, for the tuition and for being my wingman on the journey home

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t300/hippychick_H/Ring%20Easter%202009/DSC00269.jpg

Thanks to Jim & Jude for rescuing my hat on the E42 and for the impressive handover!

And finally thanks to Heidi…dirty girl that she now is!

Great to meet you both too :thumb:

I'd love a pax lap - I'd offer you a pax lap in Heidi in return but it won't be that exciting! Although I think I improved a bit this time....I seem to know the track a bit better now and the traffic doesn't worry me as much as it did. Not quite driving Miss Daisy but not far off!!!

A great report Helen, those sunny skies bring back fond memories, even if Nige and Simon's wood was a little too damp...

I'll have to try and get a pax lap next time, there's nothing like top down action :o

A fine report Helen. It was great to meet you and a privilege to do some topless lapping. I must admit it was my first time getting wood with Nige and Andrew but I soon got to grips with it.

Jim and Jude-It was an impressive handover. More impressive was the noise 400BHP makes with two down changes and foot to the floor. Noice :thumb:

A quick update - I think I got back in the nick of time...when I started Heidi this morning this light came on

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t300/hippychick_H/DSC00277.jpg

:(

Before I left Germany on Tuesday I think I mentioned to Simon that Heidi didn't seem to have as much oomph (a technical term!) as usual.

Anyway, another quick trip to 3points in Bristol and they fixed the problem FOR FREE!!!! It's all still connected to the "oil in the ECU" problem - this time it was the air flow motor playing up, but they've reset it now and all is well. They think that giving her a bit of a blast on the autobahn and the Ring probably helped to give her a bit of a blow through and recommended that I do it more often! You can't go wrong when you have a garage recommending regular trips to the Ring :thumb:

Thanks for all your comments B) It was really good to meet so many of you on this trip - if anyone fancies a topless pax lap next trip, just let me know! (assuming it's not raining!)

I'll be out again for the 24 hour race and if finances allow I'm considering a longer trip in the Summer (it would be rude not to!) so maybe see you there then!

You just needed to mention helmets somewhere in there & you'd have had the full set of innuendos in one paragraph! :P

BTW congratulations on almost doubling your post count in 2 days :thumb:

Nick - I look forward to a jolly good natter...not too early though, eh?!

A topless pax round the ring sounds fantastic but my wife is not happy about it for some reason :fish:

The last time someone was taken up the castle there was a proposal

Hippychick

There was a proposal to go get hot chocolate at the Burgstube when it got boring looking at the fog!

The hot chocolate there is much better than at the Devil's Diner :thumb:

Good report.

Is the food at the Devil's Diner as good as their hot chocolate?

Service was very slow & there was a lot of confusion over the cashless cards, especially when we needed a refund for 3 items on the bill that we hadn't ordered!!!

The food was ok though - better than it was at the Grune Holle, but there's not a huge choice
