Engine FAIL

Call karl, who tows me from Musch to Adenau. trying to stop 2 tons of Saab with the BMW down the hill was scarier than seeing a large plume of blue smoke behind the car.

Drank beer for next three days, had passenger laps in M5, Nige's golf Jon R's barge and a GT3 RS,fell off Rodelbahn went home.

Despite the technical issue, had a great weekend, and thanks to everyone that helped, jochen for the pics of me on the wagon, Martin and everyone at the BS, Daves reccomendation of John at RSR and Sir Bastard for helping out. Oh and too the marshalls for being very nice, and Jorg for food and beer. Plus everyone for the pax laps, chatting and laughs :veryhappy: :veryhappy: :veryhappy:

Karl has towed me to Adnenau in the past. It was ok until he started trying to overtake caravans. Scared the bloody life out of me

Sorry to hear about the engine mate, but glad to know you had a good time anyway.
What's the plan?? Buying new one or rebuilding the same?

Oh news on the BMW, Karl spoke with his man this morning, and when started it smoked, then it ran ok. Oil level was low, but all seems fine, but hes gonna take it for a run to see whats what, I might be ok. Anyone have any ideas what might of happened to it???

They can suck oil through the breather, straight in to the engine, giving the spy hunter effect you saw on track.

That sounds like it could be good news - does that mean you might have to plan a return trip just to make sure it's ok?

Hey Dave I heard that you guys buy german cars because they are so reliable...

:fishing:

I will keep my jap clutter, it always gives me a good excuse not to be under 8 mins but at least it takes me back to the carpark every time...
