Anyone had experience of one of these?

Any views/thoughts as an everyday car with a bit of Ring action a few times a year?

I trade plate delivered a fair few of these all over the country a few yrs back & really liked them, good handling decent amount of go & nice soundtrack.

Only downside is ok its obviously gay wheel drive is a given, but the mpg was shocking when pushed, is as bad as something properly quick, if you are gunna have cack mpg might as well have it attached to something fast no??

I've got a ST 2.2 TDCi and i think its great.

On a run its supposed to get over 50mpg (i've only managed about 46) it handles really well for its size and its great for getting to the 'ring.

Its also quick, with good mid range grunt.
Its actually quicker than my bloody golf VR6 :shame:

Boot is huge, swallows luggage and 17" wheels no probs.

Brakes can be compromised when your really knocking on but other than that i think its a good car.

Heated seats and heated windscreen are brilliant :D

If you consider a diesel, look out for dodgy injectors.

The wheels corrode for fun and the rear bumpers sag, but can still be fixed under warranty.

I'm still hoping to get my bumper sorted soon.

Oh, and Karl had the ST petrol, no doubt he'll tell you all about it if you ask nicely

RWS with FWD as well when needed. Skylines rule the world. You know you want one.

What Sim said :thumb: . Had the oil burner as well. Great car, went well and still got over 40mpg when thrashing it around B) . A 300 or so remap will see 30 extra bhp and 30% more torque if so desired.

Great cars, I had one for 5 years :thumb:

The "Intelligent Protection System" can surprise you on the ring though ;)

I was actually looking at the 2.2TDCi one a couple of years ago. Brakes looked a bit small but it drove very well and wasn't exactly slow.

I'd say that pertol one is looking a bit on the pricey side though.
