The 3 door was his first then the escort cossie an the last the serise1 turbo,i personaly would of stuck with the 3 door the best of the 3 cars. im sure in thinking the 3 door was the one that was the nearest to original condition.

Nice covered trailer. Lovely cars, and obviously had a lot of time spent on them.

If thats what flicks your switch then fair play to the guys who want to go to shows and do the concours thing. They probably look at us doing track days and think we're nuts to do it for entertainment. Each to their own as they say.

Geek alert but that car was originally registered in Aberdeen. Probably by a garage called Cordiners (which no longer exists).

Judging by the condition of the car he probably knows that already.

3 door is lovely :thumb:

But Gary, could you keep it standard?

I know I couldn't and thats always put me off buying one.

I want to buy an unmolested car (ie a bloody king's ransom to shell out), then modify it as I see fit (more money) only to then be faced with selling a car thats worth LESS than something the RSOC would collectively wish to polish all the underseal off.

Bloody hell Gary you want to learn to build an engine! :P

Here's some pics of the one I owned for 8 years  It was a 2 owner when I got it. Still love the look of them. Mine was std to look at which I liked. Did shed loads to it, was running 21psi on an Integrale turbo, made 227bhp. Was ok but too laggy. Just had to get rid of it in the end it was just too old, chassis rust and the worst thing was all the wiring was starting to corrode and fail. Nearly destroyed me in the end as it was breaking down all the time!

Always liked to tell people I owned a Group B rally car as the were homologated for Group B :thumb:

Bought it for 2,300 spent 8,000 on it, then sold it for 2,300! Tuning cars eh, who'd do it :(
