Left home Friday lunchtime. Steady drive to Oulton. Saw Steve Gill & others. Had some laps with Steve :thumb:

Drove to Bangor, arrived at 7ish, bought some cereal on the way for breakfast. Caught Taxi to Chinese. OK food, surly staff, good company :thumb: Bed by 11pm.

Woke lots in night  . Finally up at 7am, shower, breakfast, followed Matti to circuit. Arrived at 8am.

Unloaded Golf, checked in, met more Northloopers. :thumb:

Briefing at 09:30  too late, everyone was stood waiting, should have been at 09:00.

Did sighting laps, track greasy in places, vistas awesome over crest.

Open pitlane, lots of laps, great chase footage following Will. Some PAX laps, Carl i RX7 drifint lots, very smooth and quick. NO issues from marshalls about any Drifting at all :veryhappy:

Chatted to Gary, Sean, Gareth and Nick over lunch. Discussed future Engine plans.

Lapped all afternoon, Golf, getting slower and slower, wouldn`t rev well. Fastest lap of the day was in the damp in the morning. Couldn`t keep up with Will or even Stan in the afternoon. Something wrong, 20 - 30 hp down on normal at least. Did 206 track miles. Loads of video. Louise was photographing most of the day too. :thumb:

Great circtuit, technical in places, flowing in others.

Back for shower, out to pub for beers and food. Met more northloopers for first time, really wonderful atmosphere. Split onto 2 tables :boom: .

Fabulous night, really made the weekend finish on a high note.

Leisurely start on Sunday, drive home was only 2.5 hours, that was stopping for fuel and cruising at 60mph.

Worth all the wait, looking forward to this for months and it was worth it. Definatly on my to-do list again :thumb:

I think you should have a watch shot and some pics of the track :thumb:

Matty is sorting Lou`s track photos at the moment :thumb:

No watch shot this trip, I decided not to take the small camera.

Are you sure that you're car is slower? Perhaps you've got so used to trees rushing past that it can seem rather slow out in the open...

Great to see you again Nige, it's been too long :thumb:

Your golf seemed to be doing well even with reduced power ;)

Will write my own report later or in the morning :thumb:

Likewise :thumb:

Don`t get me wrong, I had a brilliant day, even though it was down on power, that didn`t spoil the day. I had a fabulous time :thumb:

I was pleased with how it was going, I was unsure how it would feel on that circuit with my soft(ish) suspension, but it actually felt great, I could get power down out of the tight corners and it handled well :D

Had some great laps following you Nige. How much power did it have before? It seemed about as fast as the Mazda on the straights?
