hi peeps just give you a heads up on the visit which saw a total of 1200 road miles covered using the coupe not counting 38 miles each way on the norfolk line- dover to dunkerque ferry. saturday 18th october midday.
we missed the chance of a saturday half day session as we didn't reach nurburg until 7pm german time +1hr g.m.t
stopped for a german steak meal and then proceeded to our hotel 200m from the track entrance
sunday was a full day at the ring with an 8am start and with an 8 lap ticket prepaid we headed to the track at 8.10am which was dry in places but drying from a cold autumn night,-- brilliant sunshine meant it was drying quickly in places not in others-- which was to catch out a few unhappy motorists on the day.. for us me father in the back and brother in the front + 3/4 tank of v-max we got on very quickly with no real wait-- my brother timed the laps with no real pressure but i defy anybody not to want to know if any improvements were made!!! suffice to say
note of caution to anybody looking to go keep your passengers to a minimum of 1 as back seat passengers even on cloth trim will become nauseous very quickly but not too bad in front seats.. 4 laps was enough for the rear occupant
initially but was brave enough for another two...
pre visit i bought wider tyres for the front extra grip on the std rims upgraded to the ferodo ds2500 pads up front but felt after a few laps maybe the discs had warped leaving some uneven braking... however the experience was an awesome one and felt the car behaved excellent really
and surprised a lot of people including myself really... the track is simply inspiring to drive and i would without hesitation recommend a trip for any of you guys+gals
