Now I cannot recommend this enough as its a great day out, all amateurs, well supoorted and some awesome sprinting going on there with some CRAZY machinery. Make sure itís inthe diary for next year as great day out for the family too.

Parking is a beatch tho, especially when itís a nice hot Saturday and everyone is flocking to the coast anyways!! i think we ended up in the underground NCP which was about a mile away but hey ho.

Actually made it with a great friend! We have been promising this for 10 years I think but finally managed to get it together and get down there.

Itís the second Saturday of September and the best 10 quids worth of motor sport value you will ever see.

Spotted m3 tom in the blue n orange ex russ mbile which was quite funny. Actually it was my mate and I was like Ďyeah I know himí!!

i think we got down there about one pm which was perfect as they were all on lunch, we got a pint n pie in and it all kicked off around 2pm. the practise runs are in the morning but they really go for it in the afternoon.

lovely day, brilliant sun, alomst too hot for many of the turbo charged cars. some of the drag bikes were hyabusas with blowers. as if a 1300cc bike is not enough!

As ever the Carbon Xtrac puma was the star of the day with a final run of 9.95 over the ľ mile with a terminal of like 135! Now that ismoving. Itís owned by the former MD of xtrac, Mike Emdean, who also owns Martin Schankeís old mk3 escort which blew me away last time i was there.

you would not believe the amount of carbon fibre on this thing and the engineering/money that has gone into it. the whole tub and interior is carbon fibre and the car has f1 style electronics and launch control on it!! the owner has a motor home down there with all the telemetry from the car on screens so you know they mean business and totally loaded! it has run a sub 9 but they had new parts on it and it was twitching all the way the strip and even laying rubber down OVER the line. insane bit of kit!!

Gary from GT art with the 900 bhp skyline put in a great show and narrowly lost out to the Mike with a 10.07 with a terminal of 137 which is moving for an old bus like that. Have not seen him for ages since the old GTR days so nice to catch up.

stayed til about 6pm for the final 6 sprint off and it was just a great day out and superb to be down there again.

Good report and great pictures, DC.

That Bentley special is a bit, er, special, isn't it?

I've done this a few years ago - agreed - a most excellent day out.

In fact - we should strive to make this a Northloop Meet next year. We could call it an annual party conference or something, stay over and get lairy!

Excellent Nick! Go to this most years, but clashed with the holiday this year, good to see some pics. Tis a cracking day out for a tenner, but enjoy it whilst you can - rumour has it that it won't be around for a great deal longer. Apparently the Labour councill down there aren't to keen...

You should have come and said hi, we were competing with the Blue Cerbera. Bit of a disappointment that we didnt get one decent run in, but we have high hopes for next year. :) Pesky F50 was a few tenths up on us this year, last year we were faster.
