View Full Version : April 2nd weekend

Just a quickie really. Personally, did not have a great weekend - mates car broke down at Dover, my exhaust problems (bodged together with a piece of German fence wire), and a cracked brake disc - that was the end of that for my car!

However it was balanced by a fantastic suntan piece of weather, relatively few cars, a bit of Top Gear and Sabine filming, and having a hot ride with Clare! Got to meet the lads as well, and persuaded another mate to lend me his car to drive! Not too many stoppages, although did come round to find miss-hit-miss looking more like a beach than a race track, there was that much sand around!

Also tried out a new gauthaus which was ok apart from the grandfather clock chiming on the hour throughout the night!

Sorry Dave, would have loved a ride but had to shoot off for the ferry, nevermind will have the Spec C next time.... ;-)

Hi Mark,

Glad you enjoyed the lap and didn't scare you too much! I did some much faster laps later on in the day and some hot laps in the Astra too!

Will catch up will you next time.

If you liked that lap you should have gone in it with Dave at the helm. 45 seconds quicker still makes it more interesting. Not that Clares lap wouldnt have been of course :D

Big pic but it shows your problem ........

looks like the decision not to risk going out with "funny" brakes was a good one....

....you know what I am glad we changed our weekends about. If we had of gone this weekend...........erm it would have been crap.

Snow on the track and VLN looks likely to be cancelled.

What a difference a week makes.
